RILEY GOODRICH

HEALTH & WELLNESS COACHING | PATIENT ADVOCACY SUPPORT | YOGA

Riley Goodrich of Love and Light Wellness offers Health and Wellness Coaching, Patient Advocacy Support, and Yoga. She has a particular affinity and specializes in supporting clients with chronic illness, especially Ehler's Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS).

Riley’s health and wellness coaching is rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and evidence-based practice. As a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and registered yoga teacher, Riley partners with clients to explore their strengths, values, and goals, creating space for sustainable change and greater well-being. Her approach blends professional training with a holistic, heart-centered philosophy—supporting you in building resilience, cultivating balance, and discovering what wellness looks like for you.

After navigating multiple chronic illness diagnoses in her early twenties, Riley turned to meditation and yoga as a way to make sense of her experience. Living with Hypermobile Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is no joke! Oddly enough, sitting on a cushion and thinking about the nature of existence kind of helped.

Riley has always wanted to help people become the best version of themselves. Because her spirituality has supported her so much in working with her health challenges, that is exactly where she turned to first to help others. In college, Riley trained extensively as a hypermobile-aware yoga instructor, Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, and meditation mentor. Finding a way to make movement fun and safe again has been one of the most empowering and joyful experiences of her life, and she would love the opportunity to share that with you.

Riley enjoys working with people who are navigating complex health, life, or identity transitions—especially those who feel “in-between” or misunderstood. Many of her clients live with chronic illness, hypermobility, or nervous system challenges and are looking for support that goes beyond quick fixes. Because of her own lived experience, Riley is especially passionate about helping people who are trying to reclaim a sense of agency and peace in their bodies.

That said, her work isn’t limited to one diagnosis or demographic. She has supported young adults figuring out how to balance school and self-care, professionals facing burnout, and people at all stages of life who want to feel more grounded, present, and capable.

Because she lives with chronic conditions herself, Riley knows how powerful it is to have someone in your corner who gets it. Being able to share tools, hold space, and watch people radiate more balance, empowerment, and well-being is one of the most meaningful parts of her work. Other favorite parts about her work include helping people feel seen, supported, and capable in their own journey. Whether it’s coaching, yoga, or mindfulness, Riley loves creating spaces where people can explore their whole selves without judgment. She especially values guiding those who feel overwhelmed, lost in the healthcare maze, or disconnected from their bodies to find clarity, confidence, and practices that truly support them.

Through health and wellness coaching, you have the unique opportunity to make an intentional decision about what behaviors and patterns would be most supportive for the life that you want to live. That being said, because Riley also lives in a body with EDS, she knows we only have so many spoons to spend and encourages pacing, rest, and accommodations along the way. Positive psychology is central in her practice - YOU know your life best. And by the way, there is so much room for unseriousness and giggles!

Riley lives in Burlington, Vermont with her partner Dan and their corgi Winnie. To find joy, Riley spends lots of time outside, including swimming in Lake Champlain and backpacking. She is also an avid meditator and attends silent meditation retreats throughout the year. When she’s at home, Riley loves baking gluten and dairy free treats for friends, and listening to vinyl records. If she is not teaching a yoga class, you can find her at a restorative class in Burlington!

“I’ve got you. Let’s do this thing.”
