Cristel is originally from Central NY, but transplanted to Vermont a decade ago. She found her way to Reiki after participating in a program at the UVM Comprehensive Pain Clinic. A whole new world opened up to her as she received integrative therapies such as acupuncture, cranial sacral, massage, and Reiki–things she had never even heard of back in CNY!

Being naturally intuitive since she was a young girl, Cristel felt a draw to Reiki. That motivated her to pursue a path where she could work towards not only personal growth, but also to share the benefit of Reiki with others. She was attuned to Reiki Levels I and II and is a certified practitioner in the Reiki tradition of Usui Shiki Ryoho. 

Reiki is a complementary health approach in which Cristel places her hands on or just above your body. This practice is based on an eastern medicine belief that we as living beings have energy fields that support our health and vitality. Remaining fully clothed, you will be in a lying position, facing up or down. Cristel will use various hand placements along the body, with a light touch or by hovering just over the body. During the session, Cristel’s focus is on the intent of goodness for supporting your wellness. Clients often report feelings of warmth and relaxation during their session. Afterwards, you may feel calm, relaxed, even “at peace” or serene. Sometimes you may feel more energized, but in a gently grounded manner. These feelings can last from minutes to hours.

In addition to in-person sessions hosted at The Wellness Collective, Cristel offers Distance Reiki and Animal Reiki for your domestic pets. When she is not working, Cristel enjoys reading, staying home with my cats and dog, creating unique fused glass art, and being on/in/near the water.
