CARRIE MAILLOUX, LMSW
MENTAL HEALTH | SOMATIC THERAPY | HYPNOBREATHWORK
Carrie is a therapist who offers a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore, release, and heal. She supports adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, disconnection, overwhelm, and patterns that feel hard to change. Carrie approaches these experiences not as flaws, but as signals guiding clients toward deeper understanding, nervous system regulation, and reconnection with their authentic selves.
Carrie believes that our bodies carry both the stories of our past and the key to our healing. During her sessions, she blends talk therapy with somatic approaches to help clients slow down, process what they’ve been holding, and cultivate clarity and ease. Her sessions may incorporate mindfulness, gentle breath awareness, or visualization to support emotional processing, cognitive reframing, and the release of long-held stress. She brings an attuned, collaborative presence to therapy, helping clients feel supported and capable of meaningful change.
Carrie holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and is a pre-licensed therapist working under clinical supervision. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, somatic (body-based) therapy, mindfulness-based tools, parts work, and attachment-focused approaches. Her corporate background also allows her to support individuals navigating career stress, boundary challenges, and the patterns that lead to burnout and emotional exhaustion. Her therapeutic style balances insight, emotional exploration, and present-moment strategies that help clients feel more grounded and capable in their daily lives. Her training in yoga, Reiki, sound healing, and somatic modalities enriches her understanding of the mind–body connection, though her work remains rooted in therapeutic principles.
Outside of her work, Carrie enjoys yoga, gardening, hiking, camping, stand-up paddleboarding, kirtan chanting, and long sauna sessions.
Transformational Breathwork Coaching (Non-Clinical)
Alongside her therapy practice, Carrie offers transformational HypnoBreathwork® sessions for individuals who are not seeking mental health treatment but are craving a deeper personal shift.
People often seek breathwork when they’re tired of cycling through the same thoughts and want an experience that creates real internal movement. These sessions can help individuals:
break patterns of self-sabotage
reconnect with their intuition
release emotional tension they’ve carried for years
reignite confidence, creativity, and momentum
feel more alive, open, and grounded in who they are
access a version of themselves they sense is there but haven’t fully expressed
HypnoBreathwork® supports meaningful insight and embodied change by helping individuals access a deeper layer of awareness and release long-held patterns. These sessions are experiential, powerful, and deeply activating that are designed to help you shed what’s been holding you back and step into the life you’ve been craving.
(Coaching is separate from psychotherapy and not a clinical service.)
